Bulk Inventory Upload Instructions:

Use the Blank Inventory spreadsheet to do bulk inventory uploads to your Auction or Store software.

Reference the Inventory Fields instruction manual to explain how to fill out the spreadsheet.

You can leave any columns that will not be useful to you blank or hide it entirely from the spreadsheet. To do this you can right-click on the column header and choose “Hide” – It can be customized, but please do not delete or rename any of the column headers.

Required columns on the Upload Spreadsheet are:

  • Application
  • Auction ID (Auction only)
  • Category
  • Lot Number (Auction only)
  • Min Bid (Auction only)
  • Store Price (Store only)
  • Title

Image Naming

One key to filling out the image columns of the spreadsheet is to include the name of the image as it is saved on your desktop WITHOUT the extension (i.e. jpg)

Also, each image must have a unique name, so it is often best to name them using auction number_ lot number.

For example, 57_1, 57_2a, 57_2b, etc.

Images in two different auctions shouldn’t have the same name.

Make sure not to include any extra characters in the image name, like “#” or “!” as well.

Ready to Upload?

Once you've completed the spreadsheet you can upload it using this EXAMPLE url

http://www.Your Website URL goes here.com/uploadinventoryss.aspx

Choose your file and submit

*Never upload the same spreadsheet twice or you will duplicate the lots*

Move Pictures / FTP (File Transfer Protocol)

To move the images to the appropriate lots, save all the images in a folder on your desktop. Make sure that all the images are in the correct orientation and are no larger than roughly 1MB or 800X800 pixels before you FTP them.

Next you will need to open your FTP program (This will require unique credentials to proceed)

If you are unfamiliar with FTPing files some computers have the functionality built in that you can use or if not you can download a program to transfer files.  Our recommendation is to download WINSCP.

It is a free download, please see this link for download instructions: https://winscp.net/eng/download.php.

After logging into your FTP program, you will select the folder you have saved your images in and Upload it to our server.

Lastly use this EXAMPLE url to “Move Pictures”

http://www.Your Website URL goes here.com/movepictures.aspx

The Picture Directory is the name of the folder that contains your auction images.

The extension will remain unchanged as .jpg

This will sync all the images with the lot that they belong to.
